At least for the first quarter of 2021, I have a rough strategy of how I’m going to approach my business.
The focus for this next few months revolves around building my email list much more aggressively and revamp my nurturing process for my future 2021 readers.
So here are my plans so far:
1. Aggressive list building
This doesn’t necessarily mean I’m going to build my list using faster, paid methods, but doing what I’m doing already at a greater rate, including booking podcast interviews, virtual face-to-face networking, etc.
2. Power up my blog with SEO juice
Ever since I built my website, my blog has essentially just been an archive of my past emails, just copy and pasted along with a few minor revisions. That’s really it. But that’s about to change. I recently made a rough outline of a few blog post topics I want to write about. Once I get those published, it’s all up to the magic of SEO to bring in the organic traffic and potential new leads.
3. Recreate my welcome sequence
As of right now, when people opt into my email list, they receive a regular welcome email that sounds pretty much the same as every other business owner’s welcome emails. That, too, is about to change. I plan to rewrite my welcome sequence so that they’re a bit more fun, more engaging, a bit more sophisticated, and…adventurous, if you will.
And as always, learn more ways to improve my email copywriting skills so they’re more entertaining and persuasive as well while still sticking to the fundamentals that are taught on the fresh white pages of How to Become an Email Titan, of course. Those principles make my emails work in the first place.
