There’s a quote that never fails to make me laugh, or smile at the very least.
And it’s from what some people refer to him as the Father of American Literature, Mark Twain.
“Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”
This doesn’t apply to just stupid people, but haters, trolls, and keyboard warriors alike.
As soon as you start fighting with them, you automatically stoop down to their level.
That’s why the best way to deal with those types of people is to thank them for their service.
Think about it like this.
When people talk bad about you and your business to their friends, on forums, or on Facebook groups, that’s free publicity right there.
That’s why controversial people are so popular. Trump was a perfect example. I remember when he ran for president in 2016, everyone talked about him in good and bad ways. He was always featured on the news, and I would always overhear people on the streets talk about him too. It didn’t matter whether people praised him or trashed him. Either way, you were doing him a favor by doing pro bono PR work.
Or if you want a better option, use what they say about you and turn it into content.
I did that when I found out an anonymous person gave How to Become an Email Titan a two star rating on Amazon.
I just took that and turned it into a sales email. There was no trash talking. I just gave my perspective, showed my gratitude for getting that two star review, and promoted my book once again.
Just a quick content creation tip for today. I hope you’ll put it to use and profit from it.
If you want more content creation strategies, I have an appendix in the full version of How to Become an Email Titan that goes into that.
I suggest you get the sample chapters first before deciding if you want to invest in the full version.
