Why Neville Longbottom Is My Favorite Harry Potter Character

I love the Harry Potter movie series.

And one of my favorite characters is Neville Longbottom.

Why?

Because of his amazing character development.

In the beginning, he had low confidence and probably wasn’t the most courageous person. Plus, the fact that a handful of unfortunate events happening to him didn’t make things any better.

Like when his broom went out of control during his first flying lesson in the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Or when cornish pixies carried Neville by his ears and hung him up on a chandelier in The Chamber of Secrets.

Then things started turning around in the Order of the Phoenix when he joined Dumbledore’s Army. Through Harry’s teachings and encouragement, he was able to become more confident in his wizard-ing (Is that even a word?) abilities and in himself as a person.

And don’t forget, in the last movie, when Voldemort arrived at the ruined Hogwarts and offered a chance for people to join his side, Neville stood up to him and, later on, used the sword of Gryffindor to kill the last horcrux, AKA Nagini, which enabled Harry to defeat Voldemort.

Personally, I can see a little bit of myself in him.

And as amazing as it is for Neville to have gone through a big transformation, I do have to give credit to Harry for being a good teacher and, overall, guiding him to become a better wizard.

It just goes to show that it’s important to have some form of mentorship to build your confidence in a skill.

And while How to Become an Email Titan doesn’t have the A to Z’s of email copywriting, it does serve as a way to build your foundation.
