Around yesterday afternoon, I was cleaning out some old junk.
I pulled out a big pile of paper out of a cabinet and sifted through it.
For the most part, there was nothing too important.
It was just old homework, homework, and more homework. There was also an old accounting textbook, which I’m sure I will pick up in the future and will find very useful.
As I kept sifting through, I saw something familiar.
It was a white folder with an East Coast Realtors logo.
Was this what I thought it was?
I opened the folder, and it was.
It was my old printed copies of Gary Halbert’s Boron Letters. I completely forgot I had them. I remember using my college printing credits to print all 25 letters.
Credits well spent, in my opinion.
Anyways, if you’re not familiar, the Boron Letters are letters that Gary Halbert wrote to his son when he was in prison giving him tips on life, health, and making money.
Specifically, making money using physical mail.
To be honest, I’m not sure if he goes into other topics.
It has been probably over two years since I read his letters, and as I’m writing this now, I’ve only reread up to his 11th letter.
Up until his 5th letter, he mainly talked about life and health, all of which had valuable lessons. Then he went into the fun stuff.
After reading his letters, I’m surprised he released the letters so people can read them free of charge.
Though people may argue that the information is outdated, I believe there’s still information that can apply to copywriting.
If you want to get your hands on his letters, you have two options.
1. Either purchase the letters compiled into a book on Amazon, or
2. You can read them for free on his website.
