My Relationship With Alcohol

Alcohol is not really my type of drink for a couple of reasons.

The main reason being that I have quite a low tolerance for it.

I remember a couple of years ago, I was hanging out at my friend’s house. We went out to buy some drinks and went back to his house to watch a movie. I drank half a tall can of some fruity flavored beer. Soon after, we went outside for a walk, but something didn’t feel right. I felt out of balance, I had a hard time keeping my head straight as I was walking.

Yep, I got tipsy just from drinking that much.

The taste is no better either. The only kind of alcoholic drinks that I actually like the taste of are Seagram’s wine coolers.

I can already feel some of the alcohol enthusiasts think, “Ellisen, aren’t those drinks for ladies?”

To which I counter-argue, “Perhaps they are. But I’d rather continue drinking those than give into the pressure of drinking the other nasty-tasting drinks.”

As much as I love to drink those, I still cannot drink too much. From all the rare times I drank, I noticed my body reacts a certain way. I suspect it might be an allergic reaction. I’m not too worried about it though.

But enough of that. Do you know what else I have a low tolerance for?

People who can’t write emails for themselves.

It’s amazing how many people I see from different online communities who ask about different marketing info products ask this specific question,

“Does this product contain a swipe file?” Or something along those lines.

The truth is, you don’t need one, especially when it comes to email.

Because email is so personal by nature, the most rewarding thing you can do is to be yourself. Swiping emails that other people wrote is basically no different than shooting your own foot.

Do yourself, your business, and your foot a favor, be yourself. Your wallet will thank you for it.
