I Want to Shake the Hand of the Copywriter Behind This Company’s Ads

One thing I miss about taking public transportation is the ads I see.

One of my all-time favorites?

The Oatly oat milk ads.

They’re so simple, so consistent, and so humorous that makes them so memorable.

I’ve seen ads that said:

“You actually read this? Total success.”

“Oatmilk ads in trains that give you something to read so you don’t have to make unnecessary eye contact with complete strangers are so convenient.”

“We spent an insane amount of money on this fancy billboard. Hope someone interested in oat drink sees it.”

I’m sure they run a serious business. But when I see companies have this much fun with their marketing, I just love it.

It makes me want to meet the copywriter in charge of those ads and shake his or her hand because it’s rare to come across ads that are fun for people to read.

Same goes for emails.

There are only a handful of email newsletters that I read word-for-word, from the subject line to the signature.

And the reason why I enjoy reading them is because they use the same email copywriting methods I teach in my book, How to Become an Email Titan.
