About one or two years ago, I used Facebook ads to promote my opt-in page and attract some new subscribers.
I remember one special individual couldn’t resist to post a comment and wrote:
“Have to agree to receive promotional emails, no thank you…”
What did he think I was, a charity?
Heck, even charities probably send promotional emails, or even physical mail pieces to collect more donations.
But obviously, I’m not a charity. I’m in the copywriting business.
And like everyone else in business, my goal is to earn money.
Everyone and their grandmothers should know that.
Which leads me to believe the Facebook user I mentioned above:
1. Lives under a rock, or
2. Is a freebie seeker.
I’m leaning towards the latter. He’s probably one of those people who are stuck in the vicious cycle of getting new free information, consuming it, letting it collect cyber dust inside his computer’s hard drive, and repeat.
It’s as if he’s looking for that one juicy, secret information when, all along, the secret is really implementation.
And that’s what the email copywriting information in How to Become an Email Titan is meant for.
Implementation, and eventually profiting.
