Deleting LinkedIn Connections

I find a lot of joy in deleting some of my LinkedIn connections.

“But why Ellisen? You never know what opportunities those connections might give you,” said one of my friends.

To which I counter-argue,

“What connection? If someone randomly connects with me, and doesn’t respond to both my initial greeting message and follow-up message, then there is no connection.”

Maybe they just wanted to add me to get that highly coveted 500+ connections. I have nothing against that.

And I don’t care if they don’t become clients nor refer other people to me, but if they at least spend some of their valuable time to sit down so we can get to know each other, then they’re welcome to stay and I’d be happy to help them out in the future.

Just like cleaning up your email list, it’s all about removing all the unwanted people, like freebie seekers who only signed up for your email list to get your free information hoping to learn a new secret hack or something.

But enough ranting.

If you’re reading this, then you’re probably new. I send daily tips copywriting, email marketing, and business tips to my email subscribers. You’re free to choose whether you want to join my community or not. If you do, enjoy the emails I write for you and hope you still get some kind of value out of them.

As a gift, you’ll also get sample chapters of my $20 retail value book, How to Become an Email Titan.
