Sometimes I feel like I’m living in a parallel universe.
The things I read on the news nowadays make me think, “Is this a joke?” And those things come from none other than the man who lives in the White House. The man leading the United States in the most unconventional and questionable way.
President Donald Trump.
Now I know I’m pretty late to this, but he said shared an idea to the world about how we can combat the coronavirus. And he said the following during a briefing…
“Suppose that we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way.”
But he didn’t just stop there. He also added…
“I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? As you see, it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.“
*Shakes my head and chuckles*
Classic Trump.
Now I don’t pay attention to politics, but I definitely know he’s not the most likeable person in the world. But I like him for one reason and one reason only.
He’s entertaining.
He has brought comedy that the world never would’ve seen coming. When he opens his mouth and says things like THAT, how can you not pay attention?
And that brings me to the point.
Entertainment grabs attention. It grabs attention better than any other cheap attention-grabbing copywriting tactic out there. If you can make your emails entertaining to read, your readers will never get tired of them. And they don’t need to be funny, there are many other ways to make them entertaining.
