I Never Thought I’d See This on LinkedIn

As you may or may not know, LinkedIn is a social media platform for professional networking.

Emphasis on “professional.”

But once in a while, you’ll see content that you’d never think to ever come across on a platform like LinkedIn.

All these posts about COVID, the masking issue, and all the other social justice issues, in my opinion, should stay on Facebook or Twitter.

Yet, people still want to start fights with others about these topics.

Here’s a more recent example I came across.

I saw a viral post from an HR professional who needed help finding a job. As expected from the LinkedIn community, many people were happy to help this person out.

Recruiters either reached out, or people referred him to open positions in companies they were already working with.

One person recommended him to check out Verizon because they take good care of their employees.

But one grumpy professional couldn’t help but to project his hate to Verizon and complain about how they don’t take care of their customers.

It had nothing to do with the original topic of the post. Then he went on further to argue with the people that called him out on his behavior.

What’s unfortunate is that he’s also unemployed and is acting in an unacceptable way in front of thousands of potential employers.

I’m going to feel sorry for him when he gets social media background checked by recruiters.

This just goes to show that common sense just isn’t common.

The good news is that I got a lot of entertainment value out of that during my downtime.

And How to Become an Email Titan will teach you how to write emails that can be just as entertaining, but not as ridiculous.
