Let’s talk about Clubhouse.
If you don’t know what it is, it’s a relatively new audio only social media app where people can have conversations in different rooms.
When I first heard about it, I thought it was just another text messaging app, except it’s audio only.
Fortunately, I managed to get access to the app and explored it over the weekend.
I will say, it’s nowhere near what I expected it to be at all.
The best way I can describe the app is this:
Clubhouse is an app where you can basically have your own talk radio show. And now, I can see why the app went viral.
They took the concept of Lives (i.e. Facebook Live and Instagram Live) and brought it to a whole ‘nother level.
Even though there’s no facecam feature, as far as I know, the fact that you can have conversations with people in real time and invite as many people as you want “on stage” to join in on the conversation is very neat.
Personally, I can see it as an alternative to webinars.
I’m not sure if I can say the same for public speaking. But, one thing is for sure, it seems like a great way to market yourself and your business, which’ll lead to new customers and clients.
And if you treat emailing as your own personal talk radio show, you can get the same results.
When I say treating it as your own personal talk radio show, I mean:
1. Having a consistent emailing schedule, whether it’s once a week, three times a week, or every weekday.
2. Sharing an interesting thought or story whenever you write an email.
