This thought popped back into my mind earlier today.
At the startup nonprofit I used to intern with, their dress code was business casual. And because I used to work there almost five days a week, I’d almost always be wearing a dress shirt, black pants, and worst of all, the ultra uncomfortable dress shoes.
This went on for two years.
For two years, my casual clothes were left in my wardrobe, barely touched, and didn’t receive nearly as much love from me as they should have.
My business casual clothing had all my attention all year long, especially on the blazing hot summer days. Those were not fun times.
Thank goodness for the existence of air conditioners.
And thank goodness for the Internet for making online business a possibility.

We can have video meetings without having to dress professionally.
We can take phone calls while lying comfortably in bed.
We can write emails while wearing pajamas and sitting on the couch.
