A few weeks ago, I was having an early afternoon virtual coffee chat with someone who I met on a networking app.
I was enjoying our conversation for the first 15 minutes. Then, he mentioned the concept of Robert Kiyosaki’s Cash Flow Quadrant.
At that moment, I knew where this conversation was going. Everything that was coming out of this young man’s mouth was sounding all too familiar.
He was working in an MLM company, PHP Agency to be exact.
And if you’ve known me for a while, you already know how much I like to poke fun at MLM people.
But I want to share with you our text conversation that took place later during the day.
He made a proposal to have me help him with social media prospecting by writing a couple of cold intro messages, and I take a cut of whatever amount he makes.
While it sounded great and all, I made it clear that I wasn’t interested in working with anyone new at the moment and told him what my policy was.
Did he listen or respect the policy?
Not in my eyes. He played the “Come-on-it’ll-only-take-a-few-minutes” card on me.
Did I care?
No, because I don’t make any exceptions (unless under rare circumstances).
Plus I’d have to go through the work of joining the agency, spending hours studying insurance materials I don’t even want to read, taking the exam (possibly more than once if I fail) to get my license.
That’s not happening.
So there you have it. One example of the type of people who I don’t want to work with.
But if you’re not like the person I spoke about above, and you need some help with your email copy, then good news for you.
If you need either email critiques or need someone to just write your emails for you, now’s your chance to get the help by clicking the link below.
